OvaCyteTM is a novel point-of-care automated system that uses digital analysis and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to count and identify eggs of intestinal parasites in a wide range of host species.
As a result of the prevalence of parasitic infection, faecal egg testing is one of the most frequently performed laboratory tests in veterinary medicine. Until recently, laboratory or in-practice testing using an experienced technician and a microscope was the only way to determine the type and number of parasites in the animal host. OvaCyte is a patent-protected, parasite egg recovery platform technology that takes the diagnostic process into the future.

OvaCyteTM is as easy as A, B, C.
Sample preparation takes <2 minutes before being injected into the proprietary cassette.
Once on the analyser, the cassette’s surface is scanned using a high-powered microscope lens and camera. Data analysis is powered by artificial intelligence and results are reported within minutes on the analyser, your laptop, or your phone.

AI algorithms utilize the proprietary OvaCyte parasite library and use a complex methodology to identify the eggs and oocysts with a high degree of accuracy.
Images captured by the analyser are sent to the cloud.
AI cross-references every object in the image to the library.
Eggs and oocysts are labeled, counted and reported.
Analysis and reporting takebetween 5 minutes (standard scan, diagnostic sensitivity equivalent to McMaster) and 15 minutes (extended scan, five times higher diagnostic sensitivity than McMaster).
